Trick to Multiply any number by 12

I won't take 1 min, you just need to understand it once and you are done.

In this trick we have a constant value which actually vary :D

Constant Value

0-4 --->0

5-9---->1

10-14--->2

15-19-->3

20-24 -->4

25-29-->5

and so on

Above data showing you that for number between 0 to 4 constant value will be 0 and for 5 to 9 it will be 1 and so on....

Now in this trick we are going to add this constant...

Lets see how it works

Step 1: To multiply 12x18 .... we will see its constant that is...3 (18 is between 15 to 19)

Step 2: Add it to 18 .i.e. 18+3=21.. this is our first 2 digits

Step 3: Check last digit of 12x18 and write it in at unit place.

so our result will be 216.
If you are confused with the constant value we discussed you can easily find it by dividing it by 4... just think of it. feel free to comment..
